Jack

We have just acquired a 14 month old Dutch Shepherd dog to keep our 6.5 y.o. German Shepherd company. His name is Jack and he is a rescue from the Rosedene Rescue Centre:

Jack is painfully thin at the moment and desperately needed a home.  Apparently, although he arrived at the centre in a good state of health he suffered from stress in the kennels and the weight just dropped off him.  We hope that once he is settled into his new home he will begin to thrive.  Sabre is still a little unsure about the new arrival, however he has taken to Jack really well and apart from a few niggles about who's in charge he has been wonderfully well behaved.

Digital Handsworth - Home

See - it's not all doom and gloom (though it is a bit windy today!). This is a great resource for not only those living in the Handsworth area of Birmingham, but anyone interested in social history.

Welcome to TV ARK The Television Museum

Here's a whoel bunch of sites that preserve the history of TV and the programmes made in the past.  Relive your childhood!

Welcome to TV ARK The Television Museum

TV Ark : ITV : South and South East : Southern : Main

It never fails to amaze me what's out there on the internet. Look at this - TV from the dawn of time (well the dawn of ITV at least). All the arguements for copyright protection and intellectual property boil down to this in my opinion - could anyone sell this now? No. It is, however, a hugely valuable resource that wouldn't exist were it not for home taping and the dedication of people such as those that run this site (and all the others). I wonder how many Blue singles will one day be recovered from long forgotten mp3 collections on old hard drives...

Sci-Fi Music Files

Loads of TV Themes

Wow - "The Tomorrow People". I loved this as a child. BBC backlot sets & Dr Who like monsters this was amazing sci-fi made on a budget with what was available. It looks course compared to todays SFX & CGI but the stories were gripping & that's what matters when you're seven!

WATCHED IT! - Runaround

I have been asked to find the theme music for Runaround (yes, this is work!). No sign of the music yet, but here's a link to a website about the show:

WATCHED IT! - Runaround

Fahrenheit 9/11

So Fahrenheit 9/11 opened in the US recently and there has been the usual right-wing/left-wing spats over it. We Brits are in the more enviable position of being a little more (no pun intended) detached and possible a little more critical on the issues the film comments upon.

I haven't seen the film yet, as it doesn't open here until next weekend - more when I do - but "Bowling for Columbine" gave me the chills, especially the attitudes of some of those allowed to air their opinions. It seems to me that although the US right-wing remonstrate that Moore is an un-American, pro-terrorist lunatic, Moore's journalistic style betrays their racism, ignorance and lack of compassion for the less fortunate of the world. Moore holds up a mirror to those that appear to be pulling the strings of the US government, and thus the world, for us all to see them clearly. Moore's film making technique appears to be simple; ask the right questions and let them talk - the truth will out.

For more on Moore see:

And so the right-wing can't deny a fair hearing:
MOOREWATCH - Watching Michael Moore's every move

Read, digest, check the facts and decide. YOU need to think about these things - don't let someone else (the politicians, the media, big business) think about them for you.
This is your freedom.
